A docuseries about Madness has arrived on ITVX. The series called Before We Was We: Madness by Madness, follows the 'Baggy Trousers' band as they started out from humble beginnings, before becoming the iconic band known today.

Each episode of the three-part series is a full 60 minutes and is filled with original footage and interviews with the band, both past and present.

Contributing to the series are Chris 'Chrissy Boy' Foreman, Mike 'Barso' Barson, Lee 'Thommo' Thompson, Graham 'Suggs' McPherson, Dan 'Woody' Woodgate, Mark 'Bedders' Bedford and Carl 'Chas Smash' Smyth.

The series was directed and produced by Bill Jones and Ben Timlett, the Emmy nominated duo who grew up together in London, beginning their careers as editors.

The band, with the current line-up of Chris, Mike, Lee, Suggs, Dan and Mark, are now on their 'C'est La Vie' summer tour, starting in Margate on 14th June, before touring the UK and Ireland, ending in Galway, Ireland on 10th August.

The Beatles: Let It Be (Disney+)

This documentary film starring The Beatles was first released in May 1970, in the middle of the band's break-up, but has now been re-released after being restored, on Disney+. The film follows the band as they record songs and rehearse for their last album 'Let It Be'.

WHAM! (Netflix)

From Chris Smith, the director behind the infamous Fyre Fest documentary, fans get the chance to follow Wham! from their early beginnings to the height of their success. The documentary includes footage from George and Andrew's personal archives such as never-before-seen footage, and previously unheard interviews.

Whitney is a documentary film featuring exclusive performances and footage of the singer known for her hits such as 'I'm Every Woman' and 'I Will Always Love You'. The film had its world premiere as part of the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, with a cinema release soon after. And was nominated at the 61st Grammy Awards for Best Music Film.

Including never-before-seen footage and new interviews, The Beach Boys is a brand new documentary available now on Disney+. The documentary follows the band from their humble beginnings to their worldwide success.

Becoming Led Zeppelin (Cinemas)

The long-gestating Led Zeppelin documentary film Becoming Led Zeppelin is finally set to hit cinema screens, however a date has not yet been announced.


The officially-authorised Becoming Led Zeppelin documentary traces the formation and early years of the fabled rock British band.

Streaming platform Paramount+ have released a brand new feature-length documentary to celebrate the remarkable life and career of American singer-songwriter Cyndi Lauper. The documentary arrived on Wednesday 5th June, taking the audience on an engaging exploration of a renowned and pioneering artist who has left a remarkable legacy with her art.
