The US version of The Masked Singer returned to American TV screens last night (15th February) with their first unmasking turning out to be none other than a Hollywood legend.
The first episode featured the character 'Gnome' who performed a rendition of 'When You're Smiling' which was written by Larry Shay, Mark Fisher and Joe Goodwin in 1928.
When the unmasking happened it turned out to be none other than 97-year-old Dick Van Dyke from beloved films such as Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

The unmasking sent the show's panel and studio audience into a frenzy as it was revealed that the garden character was in fact the Emmy, Tony and Oscar-winner. With a career spanning several decades Dick Van Dyke is stage and screen royalty.
