Following the emotional Christmas special in December, which focused on the incredible stories of giving and receiving blood, and then a new series called Public Property, BBC drama Casualty returned on Saturday 15th March for a brand new series.
Here's everything you need to know about the new series from Holby City Hospital's emergency department.
When did Casualty start?
Although there was no break between the different series, the new series of Casualty started on Saturday 15th March on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
What is the new series called?
The new series is called Internal Affairs.
What is the new series about?
New series Internal Affairs kicked off with a special episode told from the patient’s point of view. New character Dr Flynn Byron fears he could lose everything, Dr Stevie Nash gets life-changing news, and Dr Dylan Keogh worries about nurse Ngozi Okoye.
The new series will see Dr Flynn Byron, played by Olly Rix, become the new Clinical Lead of the ED, whilst popular characters Iain Dean and Faith Cadogan get married. There's also more drama for Dr Nash as she struggles to cope following the tragic death of her boyfriend Rich Walker, whilst also discovering she's pregnant.
In dramatic scenes, an ambulance crashes into the Emergency Department, whilst there's also more stress for Student Paramedic Indie Jankowsk.

How many episodes?
Internal Affairs will be made up of 12 episodes.
When is it on TV?
From Saturday 15th March 2025, new episodes will air every Saturday night on BBC One.
Timings change slightly every week.
How long do the episodes last?
All 12 episodes have a running time between 40-50 minutes.

Where is it filmed?
Although it was previously filmed in Bristol, filming for Casualty moved to Cardiff in 2011, at BBC Roath Lock Studios in Cardiff Bay. The studios are located in Porth Teigr.

Old episodes of Casualty are available to watch on BBC iPlayer now, including the 2024 Christmas special which first aired on Saturday 21st December.
