Steve Coogan announces Alan Partridge UK arena tour for 2022
Alan will be touring the UK with a message of hope...
Steve Coogan is bringing his most famous comedy creation, Norwich’s prodigal son Alan Partridge, to UK arenas in April and May 2022.
Appearing on the Elevenses with Danielle Perry podcast last summer, Steve Coogan exclusively confirmed Alan Partridge’s live return, saying: “It’s been a while since I’ve done a live show. It’s ten years and I miss it. I think in the next couple of years I’ll take a big live Alan Partridge show on the road.”
Newly announced today (26th May), Alan Partridge’s new tour is called Stratagem and it’s billed as ‘a live stage show that promises to inform, educate and entertain in approximately equal measure.’
The tour opens at Birmingham Utilita Arena on Friday 29th April 2022 and calls in at Sheffield, Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester, Cardiff, Aberdeen and Leeds before culminating at London’s The O2 on Tuesday 31st May 2022.
Tickets will go on sale at 9am on Saturday 29th May 2021.
“Over a multi-decade broadcasting career, this wonderful and surprisingly well-read man has brought delight to millions. And now, in a country riven with discord and disease, Alan is touring the country with a message of hope,” reads a statement promoting the tour.
“Wearing a head-mic favoured by TED talkers, market hawkers, TV evangelists, backing singers and carnival barkers, Alan combines all these roles and more.
“Alan will be not just treading the boards but pounding them, atop stages graced by such luminaries as Michael Ball, Jack Whitehall and Welsh rockers the Stereophonics”.
