The Police announce 40th anniversary editions of their final album 'Synchronicity'

Containing 55 previously unreleased tracks

Celebrating more than 40 years since the release of their final album 'Synchronicity', The Police have announced some 40th anniversary editions will be released this summer.

The new versions of the band's album, which will be available on various formats, will include 55 previously unreleased tracks, along with their Number 1 hit single 'Every Breath You Take'.

At the time of the original album's release on 17th June 1983, it reached Number 1 in the UK and spawned four Top 10 hits in the UK, including 'Wrapped Around Your Finger', 'Synchronicity II', and 'King of Pain'.

It was also nominated for five Grammy Awards in 1984, winning three (Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal, Song of the Year (‘Every Breath You Take’) and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal).

As well as the extra tracks, the new versions of the album will also include a 62-page boxset booklet featuring extensive new liner notes written by music journalist Jason Draper, interviews, rare archive memorabilia and unseen photographs.

The 40th anniversary editions of 'Synchronicity' will be released on 26th July.
