Rick Astley announces a free concert for NHS staff in October

'Never Gonna Give You Up' singer Rick Astley has confirmed he will be doing a free concert for NHS staff later in the year. The singer, who has had several hits including, 'Whenever You Need Somebody', 'When I Fall in Love', and 'Together Forever', shared a video on Twitter.

In the video, Rick can be seen revealing his plans for a free concert for 'NHS Frontline, Primary Care Workers, and All Blue Light Staff', "It's free to you guys, I just want to say a massive thank you and I don't know how else to do it.

"You're doing an amazing job, the whole country thanks you, hopefully we'll see you there, we'll have a fantastic night. I'm going to work my butt off to give you a great night, and so will my band."

Rick followed his tweet with another giving full details of the gig and how NHS staff can get tickets for the special gig.

Tickets are limited to two per person (eligible NHS, Primary Care & emergency service staff members and one guest) and they are available from Ticketmaster RIGHT HERE at 7pm this Thursday (2nd April).

Since announcing the news to his fans, Rick's tweet has had more than 2K likes and hundreds of people commenting. One fan tweeted, 'This is incredible!!! Thank u so much!! Hope to get lucky!! Something to look forward to when everyday we r constantly battling with the unknown in work xx' with another saying, 'You’re the best Rick. ❤️'
