Peter Hook is auctioning over 400 New Order artefacts

Peter Hook has announced an exhibition and auction of hundreds of New Order items.
The Joy Division and New Order co-founder is hosting the exhibition and accompanying auction to raise money for Epilepsy Society and The Christie charities.
He will be selling off items from his time playing with the iconic electronic dance outfit. The exhibition, billed ‘The Peter Hook Signature Collection – New Order’ will take place from 4th-8th October at Omega Auctions in Merseyside.
Items on offer include a number of the bassist’s own guitars and instruments, such as the Overwater Bass Guitar and the Prophet Synthesis And Sequencer which was used during the recording of ‘Blue Monday’, the track which went on the become the best-selling 12-inch single of all time.
Music fans will also be able to bid on extremely rare vinyl, test pressings, tapes, CDs, artwork and tour merch.
Other lots include some of the awards the bassist has won throughout his career, including an NME ‘Godlike Genius’ award, which the band received in 2005 and his 2006 Ivor Novello Award. In addition, there will be the ‘Blue Monday Anvil’, presented to New Order by Factory Records boss Tony Wilson, when the single reached 500,000 sales.
There will be over 400 lots set to go under the hammer on October 8th in Merseyside.

Fellow Genesis bandmember Phil Collins went from behind the Genesis drumkit to behind the microphone as lead singer after the departure of Peter Gabriel. He also enjoyed huge solo success with hits including 'Face Value' and 'In The Air Tonight'.

Like former bandmate John Lennon, Sir Paul McCartney had huge success after the breakup of The Beatles. He enjoyed success with band Wings and on his own, with hits including 'Maybe I'm Amazed' and 'Band On The Run'.
