Sir Paul McCartney reveals his grandchildren COMPLAIN when he plays guitar at home
You can't 'Please Please' them all, Paul
He may be a founding member of The Beatles, considered a legend and one of the greatest musical minds ever, but it seems even Sir Paul McCartney struggles to impress his grandchildren.
An intimate performance from music royalty in your own house sounds like a dream, but for Paul McCartney's grandkids, seemingly the TV comes first.
Sir Paul has admitted that his grandchildren are determined to keep him humble, begging him to put his guitar away whilst they try and enjoy their favourite TV shows.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, the 79-year-old said: "I occasionally play around the house… it depends on what they’re doing.
"They’ve maybe got some game going and I’m trying to say, 'Look, people come to see me, pay money, but you’re not even remotely interested.”
He continued: "They say, 'Granddad, look do you mind? We’re watching this programme.'"
One quarter of The Beatles, Paul was recently pictured at a bus stop in his home city of Liverpool.
The 'Hey Jude' singer did reveal that his grandchildren do occasionally enjoy hearing him play, when they recognise some of his Beatles hits from children's films like The Boss Baby and Sing.
He added: "These songs come around because people put them in films and the kids see the films… so the kids get to know them. I love that. It means the songs become the kids’ favourites."
Paul has a total of eight grandchildren between his two daughters, fashion designer Stella and photographer Mary.
50-year-old Stella is mum to Miller, Bailey, Beckett and Reiley, whilst Mary has four sons Arthur, Elliot, Sid and Sam.
