Manfred Mann announce new compilation album 'Hits From The Sixties'
The 20-track compilation is out soon
Manfred Mann, the band behind 'Do Wah Diddy Diddy’ and 'Fox On The Run', have announced they will be releasing a new compilation album called 'Hits From The Sixties'.
The album will feature the band's hits from the 60s including 'Do Wah Diddy Diddy', 'Come Tomorrow', 'Oh No, Not My Baby', 'My Name Is Jack' and 'Fox On The Run'.
The new album, available on CD and high quality double vinyl, has artwork of Manfred Mann in 1966 drawn by their bass player Klaus, who also designed the 'Revolver' sleeve for The Beatles.
The album's sleeve notes have been written by members of the band Manfred Mann, Tom McGuinness and Mike Hugg, giving fans an insight into the creative process of their songs.
The band was named after their keyboardist, and had a varied line-up during their active years of 1962 - 1969, with Manfred Mann and Mike Hugg part of the band throughout. Other members of the band included amongst others, Paul Jones, Tom McGuinness, Mike d’Abo, and Klaus Voormann.
When is 'Hits From The Sixties' released?
The new album will be released on 29th September.
