Celine Dion set to re-enter the charts following her Paris Olympics performance
She performed for the first time in four years
Following Celine Dion's performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics, from half-way up the Eiffel Tower, it looks like the singer will re-enter the album chart this week. The singer, who wowed fans by performing Edith Piaf’s 'L’Hymne A L’Amour' has seen popularity in one of her albums increase.
The singer took to the stage for the first time since announcing her diagnosis with Stiff Person Syndrome, after previously teasing that she was sightseeing in the French capital.
In recent days, Celine's 2008 album 'My Love: Essential Collection' has seen an increase in sales and streaming. 'My Love: Essential Collection' is Celine's third English-language album, and features many of her hits including 'My Heart Will Go On', 'Because You Loved Me', and 'The Power of Love'.
According to the Official Charts Company, Celine's album is expected to peak within the Top 30 by the end of the week. It previously reached Number 5 when it was released back in 2008, and was last within the UK Top 40 in 2017.
Elsewhere in the charts it looks like Blur's 'Live At Wembley Stadium' album is set to take the top spot, after the band released their album 'The Ballad Of Darren' last year, and performed it live at the iconic London venue. Recordings from their performance were then turned into a new album.
As well as performing at the Olympics, Celine Dion has also recently released a documentary called I Am: Celine Dion. The emotional documentary follows the singer as she struggles to cope with the effects of Stiff Person Syndrome, which she was diagnosed with a few years ago.

The documentary includes footage from George and Andrew's personal archives such as never-before-seen footage, and previously unheard interviews.
