Disney fans all over the world are gearing up to see the live-action version of The Lion King which is due to be released in cinemas this Friday (19th July). The reboot, which stars the likes of Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, James Earl Jones and Donald Glover, will follow the same storyline as the original 1994 animated version.
Before it's release later this week, The Lion King had its official European premiere at Leicester Square in London last night (Sunday 14th July) and a whole host of stars turned out for the extravaganza - including none other than Sir Elton John, who co-wrote the music for the first film.
Elton also returned to Disney to rework his original masterpieces for the remake with assistance from Beyoncé, who voices Nala in the film. The pair also worked with original lyricist Tim Rice to make brand new song 'Spirit', which serves as the lead single from the soundtrack.
