Following the lovely news of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's new arrival on Monday morning, Prince Harry's brother and sister-in-law, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have expressed their excitement at the new addition to the extended family. In an interview with the press, while they attended the King’s Cup Regatta at Cutty Sark, in London, Prince William said they were "absolutely thrilled" at the new arrival, but joked he would welcome them to the "Sleep Deprivation Society".

The dad-of-three went on to say he was, "Looking forward to seeing them in the next few days, when things have quietened down". The Duke was then asked if he had any new parent advice for his brother, to which he replied, "There’s plenty of advice, but I wish him all the best and hope over the next few days they will settle down and enjoy having a newborn in the family and all the joys that come with that."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, officially known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex since their wedding last year, welcomed their first child on Monday 6th May, with the news being announced across their social accounts, revealing the couple had a little boy, weighing 7lbs, 3oz. The caption read, 'We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz.

'The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives.'

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex married in May 2018, and first announced they were expecting a baby in October last year. Since the news of the birth, many celebrities have sent their well wishes to the happy couple on social media, including the likes of Vicky Pattison, Patrick J. Adams and the Prime Minister.
