Bryan Adams posted on Instagram on 26th November to announce that he has been taken to hospital and has tested positive for Covid-19. This is the second time in a month the singer has tested positive, after he had to drop out of performing at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction on 30th October this year.
Bryan was scheduled to perform as part of Tina Turner's induction to the Hall of Fame, and was planning to sing 'It's Only Love', which Bryan and Tina originally sang together on his 'Reckless' album in 1984. As Tina was unable to make it to the induction, the duet was set to be performed with American singer H.E.R., and Bryan was later replaced by country singer Keith Urban.
Bryan had just arrived in Italy when he tested positive for Covid for the second time, and was taken to a hospital in Milan. He is fully vaccinated and a spokesperson revealed that he does not have any symptoms.
In an Instagram post Bryan shared photos from the ambulance on the way to the hospital and said: 'Here I am, just arrived in Milano, and I’ve tested positive for the second time in a month for Covid. So it’s off to the hospital for me. Thanks for all your support 🙏🏻'
The reason for his trip to Italy is the unveiling of the 2022 Pirelli calendar which he photographed and was due to attend press events for. In the photography project, Bryan captured stars like Rita Ora, Cher, Grimes, Iggy Pop, Normani, St Vincent and Jennifer Hudson. The calendar is called On the Road, and the photos were shot across a variety of interesting urban backdrops in Los Angeles.
The 'So Happy It Hurts' singer is also a long-time photographer, and has won a number of prestigious awards for his work. He has released photography books, including his first book Exposed, which was published in 2012.
Bryan has also had his work featured in a number of campaigns and magazines including British Vogue, and has shot numerous celebrities over the years like The Who, Shania Twain,Rod Stewart,Take That, Celine Dion, Amy Winehouse, Lindsay Lohan, Morrissey, andAnnie Lennox.
We are wishing Bryan a speedy recovery.
