A third person has been arrested over the fatal shooting of Marc Webley in Granton on Hogmanay.

The 38-year-old was gunned down outside the Anchor Inn shortly before the Bells.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police Scotland said another man, aged 39, was taken to hospital with serious injuries but his condition remains unknown.

Today on Monday, a 33-year-old woman was arrested and further enquiries are ongoing.

It also comes as Grant Hunter, 32, and Emma McVie, 25, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court - on the same day - accused of murder.

They were also accused of attempted murder and assault to severe injury and danger of life.

The pair, from Edinburgh, made no plea and were remanded in custody ahead of a further court date.
