A petition has been launched to rename the Queensferry Crossing in honour of former First Minister Alex Salmond.
It was started by Fife resident Dave Llewellyn following the death of the nationalist politician last weekend - aged 69.
It has so far received almost 2,000 signatures.
Salmond unveiled the name for the new bridge being built over the Firth of Forth as the Queensferry Crossing in 2013.
He secured more than a third of votes in a public ballot which attracted around 7,600 suggestions and more than 37,000 votes during a seven-month process to find a permanent name for the new Forth replacement road crossing.
Mr Llewellyn has told us "It is a testament to a man who had a vision of a better Scotland and he produced that structure that's going to be there for so long.
"Alex Salmond will be remembered in so many different ways by so many different people.
"We'll never see anyone like him again and so I thought there would be nothing more fitting than to rename the bridge after him".
Alex Salmond's body was returned to Scotland on Friday following his death in North Macedonia on Saturday 12 October.
Plans are now being put in place for a private family funeral along with a more public memorial service.
