Man sentenced to nine years in prison for Fife sexual offences

Ronald Davidson has been sentenced to nine years in prison for for sexually abusing two children in the Fife area between 1984 and 1993.

The 54-year-old was also placed on the Sex Offenders Register, when he was sentenced at Edinburgh High Court on Friday.

He was previously found guilty at the High Court in Edinburgh on Friday, 13th September 2024.

Detective Inspector Calum Lawrie, of Fife’s Public Protection Unit, said: “Davidson will now be held accountable for his despicable behaviour. I commend the strength of the victims for coming forward and I hope today’s sentencing provides them with some sense of closure.

“Police Scotland is wholly committed to tackling all cases of child abuse. No matter how much time has passed, be assured we will investigate this fully, and you will be supported by Police and our partner agencies throughout.”
