Man, 36, in critical condition following assault near Edinburgh's Royal Mile
Another man, 46, has been arrested and charged
A 36-year old man is in a critical condition following an assault at Hunter Square, just off the Royal Mile, on Tuesday afternoon.
Police have said they've arrested and charged another man, aged 46.
But their investigation continues as they look for witnesses to the attack at around 3.40pm.

Police appeal for witnesses
Detective Inspector Steven Gray said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have information which could help to get in touch.
“I would ask that anyone who witnessed the incident or was in the area around that time to contact us.”
