Four youths reported after playpark set alight

Four youths have been reported to police following a blaze at an Edinburgh playpark at the weekend.

The incident happened in the Restalrig area of the Capital around 1:30pm on Saturday (March 4).

Residents in Nisbet Court described seeing the flames and billowing smoke coming from the park, which has now left a burnt out shell of equipment.

In a statement, Police Scotland said: "Following the report of a fire at the playpark to the rear of Nisbet Court, Edinburgh on 04/03/2023 – Leith Response Police officers have identified 4 youths who have since been reported."
