Residents panic after crane collapses at building site in Edinburgh

Residents in Edinburgh feel their homes shake after a nearby crane collapsed.
It is understood the section of crane gave way and fell onto the top of an apartment complex being built on Steads Place, Leith, at about 9.30am on Tuesday morning.
A large section of Leith Walk was closed off following the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson has said: "Leith Walk and Pilrig Street have now re-opened following the collapse of a crane at Steads Place in Edinburgh.
"Two people were treated at the scene by ambulance staff.
"Health and Safety Executive have been informed and enquiries are ongoing."
Two people were injured and have been treated by medics at the scene.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service has said: "âWe received a call at 0929 hours today to attend an incident in Leith, Edinburgh.
"We dispatched two ambulances and our special operations team (SORT) to the scene and have treated two patients at the scene.â
84-year-old Jeanette Smith who lives across the road got the fright of her life when the crane fell.
She said "It was so loud and I was in bed when it happened"
"It is unbelievable that could make our building shake.
"I had no idea what it was".
Kirsty Hendry and Ellis Imrie, both 22, also live nearby and said "We both shouted to each other saying what was that? what just happened? I thought something had collapsed above us".
Multiple fire engines from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS), Police Scotland officers and ambulance crews remain in attendance.
