A body has been found in the search for a missing Edinburgh pensioner.

70-year-old Martin Sinnett disappeared more than two weeks ago, with his last official sighting on Monday, September 25, walking on Restalrig Road in the city.

However, on Wednesday, police confirmed he was discovered dead next to an industrial estate in Newhailes Road, Musselburgh.

While formal identification is still to take place, Mr Sinnett's family have been informed.

Officers have said there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
