York's Monks Cross Evacuated After Suspicious Package Reported
The area is now returning to normal.
Shops in York's Monks Cross Shopping Centre had to be evacuated earlier today after police received reports of a suspicious package.
A police cordon was also put in place as a precaution as police investigated the incident and conducted a full search of the area.
North Yorkshire Police have now told us the cordon has now been lifted and the area is returning to normal.
