Woman threatened with a knife and sexually assaulted in Bridlington
It reportedly happened on Monday evening
A woman's reportedly been threatened with a knife and sexually assaulted by a man in Bridlington.
It happened on Monday evening (27th November) around 9pm as she was walking along Rope Walk. As she turned on to Marshall Avenue she was reportedly assaulted
Police are appealing for any witnesses to get in contact with them.
Detective Inspector Mark Skelton said:
“Our investigation into the incident is in its early stages and I want to offer my reassurance that my officers are exploring all lines of enquiry available to understand the circumstances surrounding this incident.
“This woman has understandably been left shaken because of the incident and she is currently being supported by our specially trained officers.
“Locals can expect to see officers in and around the area following up on those lines of enquiry. If you see them and have any concerns, please do speak to them.
“I’m particularly keen to hear from anybody that was in the area at around the time the incident. I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has more information that would help with our enquiries to contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 464 of 27 November.”
