Woman suffers serious sexual assault in Hull

She was reportedly raped just over a week ago in a park near Bean Street

A woman's suffered a serious sexual assault in Hull.

She was reportedly raped in a park at the bottom of Bean Street behind Coltman Street at approximately 4.40 am on Tuesday September 14th.

She was also physically assaulted and had her mobile phone stolen.

Police are studying CCTV footage whilst house to house enquiries take place.

Officers will increase patrols to provide reassurance in the Coltman Street, Gee Street, Bean Street and Wellsted Street areas.

Detective Chief Inspector Pete Thorp said: “Understandably an incident of this nature will be extremely concerning for the local community."

"We are treating it with the upmost seriousness and have already been conducting enquiries such as CCTV and CSI."

“The victim is being supported and we are exploring every possible line of enquiry to identify the man responsible as quickly as we can."
