Woman reportedly assaulted in Hull
One woman has been arrested
Police in Hull have made an arrest after what's been described as an altercation between two women. It left one of them with serious injuries.
It took place early this morning (Monday 11th December) around 6.40am.
A 39-year-old has been taken to hospital with cuts to her neck and arms. Her injuries are said to be significant but not life threatening.
She was reportedly assaulted on Anlaby Park Road South.
Police have arrested a 28-year-old woman at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
Officers say they believe both women are known to each other.
Detective Inspector Andy Crawforth said:
“I understand an incident of this nature will be concerning for the local community; however, I want to offer my reassurance that we believe this to be an isolated incident between individuals known to each other.
“A scene guard was put in place whilst officers carried out lines of enquiry to understand the circumstances surrounding the altercation but has since been removed.
“Locals to the area can expect to see an increased police presence in the area throughout the day, providing additional reassurance to residents whilst our investigations continue. I would encourage anyone with any information, or anyone with concerns, to please come and speak to us.
