Woman killed in Grimsby crash

The 29 year old was involved in a collision with a car transporter

A woman has sadly died after a car collided with a parked car transporter in Peaks Lane, Grimsby, on Wednesday night.

The incident happened at shortly before 9.25pm and involved a silver Ford Fiesta.

The front seat passenger, a 29-year-old local woman, was taken to the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, where she was sadly pronounced dead.

The driver, a 50-year-old local man, was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary with leg injuries. Neither have been named at this time.

An investigation has now been launched into the circumstances of what happened and Humberside Police are particularly keen to speak the occupants of a white Seat and a black Peugeot, which were parked close to the Fiesta in the YMCA car park shortly before the incident.
