Woman Assaulted in Bridlington on Boxing Day

A woman's been indecently assaulted by two men in Bridlington after refusing to give them a cigarette.

Officers are investigating after a woman's been assaulted in Bridlington on Boxing day. The 25 year old was walking on her own on Windsor Crescent at around 6:30pm when she was approached by two men; one aked her for a cigarette.

When she refused she was pushed to the ground and she banged her head.

The men then went through her pockets and indecently touched her before running off after she started screaming.

Nothing was stolen and the woman went to Bridlington Hospital for treatment to a minor head injury.

The men have been described as both being white, aged between 17 and 18-years old and spoke with a West Yorkshire accent.

Following the incident police are urging any witnesses to call them on 101 quoting Crime reference number 2088600 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
