Woman arrested after stolen car recovered in Grimsby

The 30-year-old woman remains in custody

A 30-year-old woman has been arrested after a car was stolen from outside a property in Grimsby during the early hours of this morning (Thursday, 27 November 2025).

At approximately 2am, police received a report from a member of the public that their silver Vauxhall had been stolen from outside their property.

Officers began conducting lines of enquiry and sighted the stolen vehicle driving along Clee Road. The vehicle was stopped by officers, and a 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, using a motor vehicle without insurance, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, and driving a vehicle with a proportion of a controlled drug above the limit.

She currently remains in custody while enquiries continue.
