Warning to drivers amid SUB-ZERO temperatures in East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire
It could be hard to see on the road later
Last updated 29th Dec 2020
Drivers in East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire are being urged to avoid the roads by the Met Office, as temperatures plunge across England.
There's yellow weather warnings in force for snow and ice across much of the region, with forecasters expecting the low temperatures to bring freezing fog.
That could cause poor visibility on the roads, making driving much riskier.
The Met Office says "some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces" are possible.
It's also warned "some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services."
We're also being told not to travel unless we have to, because of the outbreak of Covid-19.
