Water pumps the size of blue whales to protect Hull homes.
Six water pumps, each the size of a blue whale will be protecting homes in Hull from future flooding.
The new water pumps at the Bransholme station come apart of Yorkshire Water's ÂŁ16 million flood prevention scheme in Hull.
This means that around 15,000 homes in the local area will be protected from future flash flooding. The pumps have been repaired after the damage caused back in 2007 when large parts of the city and surrounding areas flooded.
Yorkshire Water, say that they hope this will bring peace of mind to local residents.
