The balloon was caught up in a typhoon.
It's not every day you see the Moon rolling past you, but that's exactly what residents of Fuzhou, China saw recently.
The giant Moon balloon was caught up in Typhoon Meranti as it hit the city of Fuzhou and lost its tether from outside a shopping centre.
Witnesses captured videos of the balloon blowing over cars and pedestrians who weren't quite sure what to do with this 'extraterrestrial' object coming towards them.
Of course it wasn't long before Twitter was full of jokes about the situation with comments such as 'it's lunacy' and 'stellar'!
