The father and son duo raised over ÂŁ137,000 for charity.
Earlier this year we followed Ted McDermott's rise to fame as he and his son Simon became internet sensations after uploading a video which went viral.
Ted was diagnosed with Alzheimer's three years ago and as Simon explains on his JustGiving page his Dad became progressively more violent, however "when we've got him singing again he's back in the room. It's these moments that we treasure."
As a result of Simon and Ted's video they raised more than ÂŁ137,000 for the Alzheimer's Society, a charity that has helped the family cope with the disease.
Last night they were awarded for their achievement and presented with a **Pride of Britain Award for Special Recognition** by Sir Cliff Richard and Joan Collins. Unfortunately due to his illness Ted couldn't be there on the night, but Simon gratefully accepted the award on behalf of both of them.
