Victim named following Hull murder

A 23 year-old man from Hull who sustained fatal injuries during an incident on Harleston Close in Hull on Sunday 13 June has been named as Corey Jacob Dobbe.
Corey’s family and friends are thanking everyone who's sent messages of condolence to them and are asking for privacy at this very difficult time.
On Sunday 13 June at 7:10pm emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing on Harleston Close in Hull. Corey suffered serious injuries and received medical treatment at the scene but sadly died a short time later.
A cordon and officers remain at the scene whilst we continue to conduct extensive enquiries to identify the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Detective Chief Inspector Alan Curtis continues to appeal for information that would help with the ongoing murder investigation:
“I’d like to thank members of the public who have already contacted us, providing information surrounding the events of Sunday evening.
“Having conducted initial enquiries we believe that both the Corey and his aggressor were known to each other, and is not believed that there was a wider threat to the general public.
“We have, and continue to carry out extensive enquiries, however, at this stage of our investigations no one has been arrested in connection with Corey’s murder.
“If you have not yet spoken to us but believe you may know something that could assist us, no matter how insignificant you think it may be, it may assist us with our enquiries.
“Those living in the area will see an increased number of officers over the coming days carrying out enquiries and providing reassurance to residents and the local community. Please come and speak to those officers if you have any concerns.
