Two men arrested on suspicion of murder after man dies in Withernsea

Two men have been arrested after a man died at a business in Withernsea last night.

Police say they were called at around 11.30pm to reports of a fight.

A man was pronounced dead at the scene, his family are being supported by specialist officers.

A 35-year-old man and a 46-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of murder and grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident.

A statement from Humberside Police said:

"Two men have been arrested following an altercation that resulted in the death of a man at a business in Withernsea yesterday evening, Friday 11 March.

"We were called at around 11.30pm with reports of a physical altercation involving a large group of people at a licensed premises on Seaside Road.

"Emergency services attended and a man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

"His family are aware and are being supported by specially trained officers at this difficult time.

"Two men (aged 35 and 46) have been arrested on suspicion of murder and grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident. They remain in our custody at this time whilst enquiries continue.
