Two men arrested after burglary in Scunthorpe

Two men have been arrested after reports of a burglary at a pub on Holme Hall Avenue, Bottesford in Scunthorpe during the early hours of Friday morning.

Humberside police were called at around 1am to reports of two men gaining entry to a pub and stealing a number of items before they are believed to have fled the scene.

Officers were deployed and quickly spotted two men matching the descriptions acting suspiciously.

A 37-year-old man and a 55-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

The 37-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop in connection with another incident.
