Tour de Yorkshire: What you need to know
Beverley will host the first part of the major international cycle race
Excitment's building as Beverley prepares to host the start of the 2016 Tour de Yorkshire.
Over a million people are expected to turn out to support the international cycle race this weekend - with tens of thousands heading to our region tomorrow for the start of it all.
The first leg kicks off in Beverley's Saturday Market at 11.50pm on Friday 29 April for the ceremonial start before it officially sets off from the racecourse at 12pm.
Stage One will then pass through other parts of the East Riding, including Cherry Burton, Market Weighton, and Holme-Upon-Spalding Moor with the first stage finishing in Settle at around 4pm.
Stage Two will pass between Otley and Doncaster on Saturday. With the final leg setting off from Middlesborough and finishing in Scarborough on Sunday 1 May.

It's the first time both sexes have undertaken the same route.
Famous cyclists include Sire Bradley Wiggins, Yorkshire's very-own Lizzie Armitstead, British Olympian, Danielle King and Dame Sarah Storey.
There is a warning of travel disruption in Beverley - as the Tour de Yorkshire kicks off.
The roads in and around the town will very busy and people are being advised to use public transport instead.
