The Tour De Yorkshire is heading through Beverley on Thursday, as the 4 day cycle race kicks off in East Yorkshire.

We’ll be bringing you the all the details of the race throughout the day, but there are a few road closures that you’ll need to know if you’re planning on driving around the area on Thursday;

On Thursday 3rd May the A164 will be closed from approximately 8.15am to 9am between Beverley Town Centre and Skidby roundabout, and again between approximately 2.45pm and 3.30pm . This will include access from the slip roads from the A1079 at the Jock's Lodge Junction.

This is likely to cause significant delays so please plan your journey carefully and allow extra time for travel. Motorists and the travelling public should also expect delays in and around Hornsea, Pocklington and Howden on the day of the race.
