Three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder following an incident in Hull.

Police were called out in the early hours of yesterday morning (Thurs 2nd March).

Officers went to Gainford Grove after receiving reports of an assault. A man sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

Emergency services were unable to save him and he died from his injuries.

A scene guard remains in place, and Police say they believe it to be an isolated incident with no wider risk to members of the public.

The three people arrested remain in custody while enquiries continues.

“We understand that a tragic incident of this nature will cause shock to the local community, but I would like to reassure people that this is thought to be an isolated incident with no wider risk to members of the public.

“A scene guard will remain in place and those living in the area will see an increased number of officers over the coming days carrying out enquiries and providing reassurance to residents and the local community.
