Teenage boy arrested after assault in Snaith

The victim suffered injuries that are thought to be serious but not life threatening

Humberside Police have arrested a teenage boy after responding to reports of an assault in Snaith on boxing day.

It is believed at around 6.30pm that a man was assaulted on Market Place after an earlier altercation.

The 17-year-old boy was arrested short time later on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and racially aggravated provocation of violence.

The victim suffered injuries that are thought to be serious but not life threatening.

The police are appealing for anyone who has information, or has CCTV or dashcam footage that may assist with enquiries to please contact them using the non-emergency number 101 quoting log 393 of 26 December.
