Steps are being taken at a Hull women's group to address issues amongst ethnic minorities.
The City is being described as having one of the country's forgotten neighbourhoods.
It can lead to some women there having issues with health or even mental health.
Hull Sisters supports many women in the City.
Gabriella Astrenia is a staff nurse from Hull - she's been holding food demonstrations at Hull Sisters.
She says "I think all of us try and adapt a healthier lifestyle and I've been trying very hard."
"I think motivation is the key".
One woman who's been supported by Hull Sisters and now volunteers there told us:
"We need these kind of exercises and skills. When they come here for a course they meet other women with the same interests".
"They take something from the course but they also meet new people".
