Hull City are further in the relegation mire after a 3-nil drubbing at home by Newcastle United in this afternoon's Premier League early kick-off.

The Magpies mauled the Tigers with a goal either side of the half-time break and then another midway through the second period. In League One a great win for Scunthorpe United, the Iron beating Leyton Orient 4-1 on the road. League Two saw a defeat for York on their travels, 1-nil to Southend. And Grimsby didn't even get as far as kick-off the ref called-off their match with Telford in the Conference because of a waterlogged pitch.
