Hull City got their first away win since the opening day of the Premier League season at manager Steve Bruce’s former side Sunderland yesterday. The Tigers winning 3-1 at the Stadium of Light, ending their 10-game winless run in the process.
Gaston Ramirez, James Chester and substitute Nikica Jelavic scoring for City. In League One there was victory for The Iron as well, Scunthorpe United winning 2-1 at home to Rochdale. Liam O’Neill and Paddy Madden the scorers. League Two saw a win too for York City – 1-nil - against Accrington at Bootham (Booth-um) Crescent. Keith Lowe scoring for the Minstermen who spent the last 30 minutes of the game down to ten men after the sending off of Brad Halliday.
And in the Conference Jack Mackreth scored for Grimsby in their 1-nil win against fellow promotion contenders Macclesfield.
