Six Arrested in Grimsby Organised Crime Operation
Police seize £16,000 cash and mobile phones in major warrants
Six men have been arrested in Grimsby following a series of warrants carried out yesterday (Wednesday, 3 September) by Humberside Police’s Kinetic Organised Crime Group Team.
With support from the Kinetic Intervention Team, Dog Section, Neighbourhood Policing Team and British Transport Police, officers searched properties on Crowle Drive, Beachwood Avenue and Chelwood Drive.
During the searches, officers seized around £16,000 in cash and a number of mobile phones believed to be linked to drug supply.
The men, aged between 18 and 55, were arrested on suspicion of a range of offences, including:
A 39-year-old man – arrested on suspicion of possession of criminal property, dangerous driving, driving without insurance, and failing to stop.
An 18-year-old man – arrested on suspicion of possession of criminal property and common assault of an emergency worker.
A 20-year-old man – arrested on suspicion of attempted wounding with intent, being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, and possession of criminal property.
A 19-year-old man – arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, possession of an offensive weapon, and possession of a Class B drug.
A 35-year-old man – arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, concealing criminal property, and possession of an offensive weapon.
A 55-year-old man – arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
All six men have since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
