Several Year Groups at Bridlington School self-isolate

The latest is 50 pupils in Year 9.

50 Year 9 pupils at Bridlington School are self-isolating.

It's after a child in that group has tested positive for coronavirus.

Those students have to stay at home till the 24th of November.

Years 8, 12, and 13 are also self-isolating till later this month.

This was posted on the school's website yesterday:

"Today we have been informed of a positive case of Covid-19 in Year 9.

The student was last in school Monday 9th November. They were perfectly well in the morning, developed symptoms lesson 3 and were immediately isolated before being sent home. Affected areas were immediately re-roomed and deep cleaned.

We have identified 50 students in year 9 who are direct contacts because they were in the lesson, walked to school or were in close contact at breaktime. the parents / carers of these 50 students have been informed."

Other Year Groups are also currently in self-isolation.
