Russell Slade set to return to Grimsby Town as new manager

He was with the club between 2004 and 2006.

Russell Slade has been announced as Grimsby Town's new manager this morning.

It's after Marcus Bignot was sacked by the club on Monday after 5 months in charge.
"It was a welcome return and I'm delighted to be back"

Slade spent time at the club between 2004 and 2006, leading Grimsby Town to the play off finals in 2005/2006.

He has said:

"It was a welcome return and I'm delighted to be back."

"Let's move forward together and threaten the top 6 and be a force next season."
