Police launch a murder investigation in Hull

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder

A murder investigation's been launched after the death of a man in Hull.

Police were called out to reports of a concern for safety at a property on Roborough Close, Bransholme on Sunday afternoon around midday (6th March).

When officers arrived a 53 year old man, Neville Morrison, was found to have suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Neville’s family are currently being supported by specialist trained officers.

Two men aged 37 and 50 have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody

A cordon is in place at the scene whilst officers continue with their enquires.

Detective Chief Inspector Doug Blackwood leading the investigation said:

“We understand that a tragic incident of this nature will shock the local community.

“Those living in the area will see an increased number of officers over the coming days carrying out enquiries and providing reassurance to residents and the local community. Please come and speak to those officers if you have any concerns."
