MPs have pushed for the law change, it will mean a person only has to contact a child once before officers can arrest them.

Vicky, 17, was blackmailed after sending sexual photos to someone on Gumtree who claimed to run a modelling agency.

She said:

"I want young people to know that if they are going through anything like this, don't be afraid to tell someone. There is always someone there to help, someone you can go to."

Gumtree have told us they have a number of e-safety measures in place.

A Gumtree Spokesperson said:

"In society there will always be bad people and we try and keep our site as safe as possible so that people don't come into contact them.

"With the nature of classified ads it's impossible to stop everybody who is on the site for the wrong reasons and so the best we can do is advise our customers on ways they can stay safe.

"Gumtree's just like anywhere else on the internet. Be careful who you talk to and make sure you don't let your guard down. If anything looks too good to be true or suspicious just walk away."
