Police appeal for witnesses to Cleethorpes assault

Officers were called out in the early hours of Sunday morning

Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault that happened on high Street in Cleethorpes.

Police were called out to a man in his 30’s between 2 and half past in the morning of Sunday, 22nd of August.

It was reported that he had been struck on the head and fallen, sustaining serious but not life-threatening injuries.

A spokesperson from Humberside Police, said:

“It was reported that a group of at least three men were involved. Two men, aged 24 and 19, were arrested nearby and taken in for questioning. They have now been released from custody as we continue our investigation into the assault.”

Officers are now asking if anyone has any information to contact them on 101.
