Murder Investigation Launched After 21-Year-Old Dies In Hull's West Parade
The 21-year-old was seriously assaulted on West Parade last night and later died from his injuries.
A murder investigation has been launched after a 21-year-old man died following a serious assault on West Parade in Hull.
Police were called at around 6 o'clock last night (Sunday February 14) reporting a man with life threatening injuries, following an altercation involving a number of people on West Parade near Spring Bank.
The victim was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary for treatment, but later died as a result of his injuries.
A police cordon remains in place at the scene.
Two men, aged 30 and 38, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are in police custody.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Matt Baldwin said:
“Humberside Police have launched a murder investigation after a violent altercation led to the death of a 21-year-old man.
“The man’s family are being supported by specially trained officers.
“A team of detectives are investigating the murder and will be carrying out local enquiries around West Parade and reviewing CCTV in the area.
“Despite making two arrests we still need the public’s help and I would urge anyone who witnessed the altercation, which happened around 6pm on West Parade/Spring Bank area to call the police.
“We would also like to speak to anyone in the area around the time of the incident as they may have witnessed something small that could potentially assist us with our enquiries.
