Man suffers life-threatening injuries in collision in Goole

Investigation launched after an Audi A5 came off the road on Saturday night

Police have launched an investigation after a man was seriously injured in a collision in Goole.

The 33 year old driver was taken hospital with injuries thought to be 'life-threatening' after an Audi A5 hit a lamppost, fence and hedge off Rawcliffe Road on Saturday night.

In a statement, Humberside Police said:

"The collision took place at around 11.30pm when blue Audi A5 left the road and collided with a lamppost, fence and a hedge.

"The driver of the car, a 33-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are thought to be life threatening.

"Anyone that witnessed the collision, or the car being driven prior to the collision, is asked to call our non-emergency 101 line quoting log 594 of 11 November."
