Man jailed for "vicious and unprovoked" attack in Nottingham
He'll serve more than 2 years in prison
A man's been jailed for more than 2 years for an unprovoked attack in Nottingham which left his victim with a metal plate in his jaw.
Police have described it as "vicious".
3\2 year old Otis Wilson of Primrose Close and his friends kicked and stamped on a man's head and body at Lace market .
It's after a fight broke out and the victim was seen recording what was happening.
The victim was left with a fractured jaw in two places which required him to undergo surgery where a metal plate was fitted.
This kind of violence is unacceptable
At Nottingham Crown Court Wilson admitted affray and was found guilty of occasioning grievous bodily harm without intent.
Other suspects involved had previously been sentenced.
Detective Sergeant Parminder Ahluwalia, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Otis Wilson and the group launched a vicious and unprovoked attack on a man who was simply enjoying the night with his friends.
“This kind of violence is unacceptable and I hope this sentence sends out a very clear message to others who think they can behave in a similar way that we will do everything to ensure they face the courts.”
